Weekend fire in LaSalle leaves one dead

The Office of the Fire Marshall is investigating a fire in LaSalle on Saturday that left one person dead.

The LaSalle Fire Service and the LaSalle Police Service were both called to the 7700 block of Malden Road early in the morning for a structural fire, according to a post on X.com (formerly Twitter) issued by the LaSalle Police Service.

Crews found a person deceased in the residence after the fire was extinguished.
