This most recent hit of winter weather across much of southern Ontario — including the southwest part of the province — has parked school buses for the day in the Windsor, Chatham and Sarnia areas.

Transportation officials say they're cancelled for Thursday in all Windsor-Essex and Lambton-Kent zones.

All travel advisories and snowfall and freezing rain warnings have been by Environment Canada, however, the weather agency says there's a chance for periods of freezing drizzle early Thursday.

It's also calling for strong winds across the region today — and the chance for local blowing snow — along with a 60 per cent of flurries for the day. Temperatures are expected to remain below the freezing mark, dipping near -13 C when factoring in the windchill.
