Woman charged after boy's death in Vaughan, Ont., bus collision
York Regional Police say a 65-year-old woman has been charged with dangerous operation causing death
A woman has been charged in connection with the death of a six-year-old who was struck and killed by a school bus in Vaughan, Ont., in June, police say.
The bus driver involved in the incident, a 65-year-old woman, was charged this week with "dangerous operation causing death," York Regional Police (YRP) said in a release Thursday.
The incident happened just before 8 a.m. on June 19, YRP say. Police say they responded to a report that a child had been hit by a school bus in the area of Kleinburg Summit Way and Pierre Berton Boulevard.
When police arrived, they found a six-year-old boy with fatal injuries, and he was pronounced dead at the scene, YRP say.
The bus driver remained on the scene, police say.
Investigators are asking anyone with information or video related to the incident to contact them.
