Raptors-Cavaliers playoff series inspires battle of the Great Lakes breweries

The rivalry between the Raptors and Cavaliers — currently battling each other in the NBA eastern conference finals — has spilled over into the suds business.

The rivalry between the Toronto Raptors and the Cleveland Cavaliers — currently battling for the right to represent the east in the NBA Championship Series — has spilled over into the suds business.

Two beer-makers that share a name, Great Lakes Brewery of Toronto and Great Lakes Brewing Company of Cleveland, have lived in peace for decades. 

But that has all ended now that the NBA playoffs have pitted their cities against each other, and the two breweries are placing a friendly bet on the outcome of the best-of-seven Eastern Conference Final series.
