Man, 31, dies after single-vehicle crash in Oakville

A 31-year-old man has died after a single-vehicle crash in Oakville on Thursday, police say. 

The crash happened around 9:45 p.m. on Bristol Circle, south of Plymouth Drive, Halton police said in a news release Friday. A Porsche SUV left the roadway and collided with a light standard. 

The driver, who is from Hamilton, was taken to a trauma centre where he was pronounced dead. 

A passenger in the SUV, a 30-year-old man also from Hamilton, sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries, police said. 

Anyone who witnessed the incident or who may have security camera footage from the area around the time of the crash is asked to contact police.
