Drake's date for the NBA All-Star game was a key figure from his high school days

Drake spent Valentine's Day in the city he loves with his "favourite person in the world" — a Toronto teacher who helped the rapper graduate from high school.
The 6God, who spent the weekend in the city for NBA All-Star weekend festivities, took in the East versus West matchup with teacher Kim Janzen.

"My date for tonight's game. Who else but my favourite high school teacher who helped me graduate," Drake wrote on Instagram.
"Happy Valentine's. Hope everybody is getting love from somewhere," he said.
Drake graduated from high school in 2012, just shy of his 26th birthday.

At the time, the Toronto rapper thanked Janzen for working "tirelessly" to help him earn his high school diploma.

During his 2015 Jungle Tour stop in Toronto, Drake hung out with Janzen, his "favourite person in the world."
"The woman who taught me to take responsibility for my actions and also gave me the confidence to write and express myself," he wrote on Instagram last June.
