Northern section of Golf Links Road in Thunder Bay closed until fall

If you regularly drive on the northern section of Golf Links Road in Thunder Bay, you'll need to find a new route this summer.

Beginning today and lasting until the fall, the road will be closed.

It's phase two of a widening and reconstruction project.

A posted detour will include Oliver Road, Balmoral Street and John Street. Local access to River Terrace, area businesses and the hospital will be available during the work.

The first stage of work, between Riviera Drive South and Riviera Drive North is expected to last three to four weeks.
