Police in Thunder Bay are searching for a man accused of robbing two convenience stores. Police say in both cases, the accused threatened the clerk - with a snowbrush.

Thunder Bay police aren't giving this act of crime the brush-off.

Police say they are looking for the public's help to identify a man responsible for two robberies at Mac's Convenience Stores in the early morning hours of Nov. 21.

The first robbery happened at the Balsam Street location at 1:24 a.m. Six minutes later, a second robbery occurred at the Cumberland Street location. 

In both cases, a man entered the store with a snow brush, threatened the employee and demanded money.

Neither one of the employees was injured.

The suspect fled with a small quantity of money.

The suspect is described as a 35-to-45-year-old, about 6-feet tall with a medium-to-heavy build. He was wearing a black hoodie, with white and red lettering "SPY" across the front.

He also had on sunglasses and Tilley-style beige hat.
