Still no news in search for northern Ontario's Charnelle Masakeyash
Charnelle Masakeyash, a 26-year-old mother of three, was last seen in Pickle Lake, Ont., on Oct. 31
Provincial police have told CBC News there is no updated information in the search for Charnelle Masakeyash of Mishkeegogamang, near Pickle Lake in northern Ontario.
OPP continue to follow up on information from the public, but "with negative results in any confirmed sightings" of Masakeyash, officer Diana Cole said.
The search is continuing today, she added.
An OPP emergency response team was called in Friday, along with a police helicopter, to help with the search. Masakeyash, 26, was last seen on Oct. 31. Police said she was reported missing on Nov. 8.
Volunteers from her home community of Mishkeegogamang, near Pickle Lake, have been conducting their own search since Monday. They were joined mid-week by members of Cat Lake First Nation.
Masakeyash is described as 5'7", 130 lbs, medium build, straight, shoulder length black hair, usually worn in a ponytail, and has brown eyes.
Anyone with information about her is asked to call the OPP.
