Police call in helicopter, emergency response team in search for northern Ontario woman
The emergency response team with the Ontario Provincial Police was called in Friday, along with a police helicopter, to help with the search for Charnelle Masakeyash in the northern Ontario town of Pickle Lake.
Charnelle Masakeyash, a 26-year-old mother of three, was last seen in Pickle Lake, Ont., on Oct. 31
The emergency response team with the Ontario Provincial Police was called in Friday, along with a police helicopter, to help with the search for Charnelle Masakeyash in the northern Ontario town of Pickle Lake.
Masakeyash, 26, was last seen on Oct. 31. Police said she was reported missing on Nov. 8.
Volunteers from her home community of Mishkeegogamang, next door to Pickle Lake, have been conducting their own search since Monday. They were joined mid-week by members of Cat Lake First Nation.
Masakeyash is described as 5'7", 130 lbs, medium build, straight, shoulder length black hair, usually worn in a ponytail, and has brown eyes.
Anyone with information about her is asked to call the OPP.
