The OPP say they've recovered the body of Jason Prystay, 24, from the waters of Pickerel Lake in Quetico Park.

Prystay was from Oliver Paipoonge, near Thunder Bay.

Police said he was among a party of four canoeists using two canoes when he fell overboard after going into medical distress on Friday.

His body was found Monday at 5.p.m.

On Monday, police said his companions searched for Prystay when he failed to resurface, before placing an emergency call to family, who then called the OPP.

Prystay was not wearing a life jacket, police said.
