Thousands of meth pills found in Hearst drug bust on Hwy 11
Three people from Hearst face several drug charges after police intercepted their vehicle, which was headed west, and found thousands of dollars’ worth of drugs hidden on board.
After searching the 2004 Buick Rendez-Vous, officers discovered 6,004 Methamphetamine pills, 25 grams of Cannabis Marijuana and three Oxycodone pills, worth a combined street value of $120,000.
Now facing charges are Hearst residents Sydney Michel Emond, 40, Patrice Therriault, 54, and Elsa Moore, 31.
They collectively face 11 Controlled Drugs and Substances Act and two Criminal Code offences collectively, and include trafficking charges, and failure to comply with probation orders.
Emond and Moore were held for a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cochrane on March 19 and still remain in custody. Therriault was also held for a bail hearing in Cochrane on the same day, but has since been released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Hearst on April 2.
