A Justice of the Peace has dropped trespassing charges against another seven protesters in Sudbury who were arrested at MPP Rick Bartolucci's office about a year ago.

At the beginning of the trial last month, charges were dropped against four protesters.

Justice of the Peace Diane Lafleur cited a lack of evidence in all cases. All 11 people charged belong to the Sudbury Coalition Against Poverty. They occupied the waiting room in Bartolucci's Sudbury office, to protest cuts to the community start-up and maintenance benefit program. The fund provides emergency help to low-income people.

Earlier on Tuesday, the trial went into recess after the Crown prosecutor said he wanted to call more evidence — even though he had closed his case in the last court session.
