1 dead in Hwy 69 crash near Parry Sound: OPP

Ontario Provincial Police are reporting that one person is dead after a three-vehicle crash on Highway 69 close to Parry Sound.

The crash happened just before noon, near Harris Lake Road, police said.

Investigators are on the scene.

Inspector Mark Andrews said, for an unknown reason, a vehicle crossed the centre line into oncoming traffic.

Andrews said two other people involved in the crash sustained non-life threatening injuries.

There is no word on the identity of the victim.

There is a detour for light traffic using Highway 529.
