Saskatoon pedestrian struck by vehicle on 22nd Street

Another pedestrian was hit by a vehicle in the 2200 block of 22nd Street Saturday evening. This was the second pedestrian to be hit on that block in two days.

Another pedestrian was hit by a vehicle in the 2200 block of 22nd Street Saturday evening. This was the second pedestrian to be hit on that block in two days.

On Saturday night, a 22-year-old man was sent to the hospital with serious but non life-threatening injuries after being hit walking across 22nd Street at Avenue V. Police and emergency crews put traffic restrictions in place shortly after 6 p.m. as they investigated the scene. They say a 37-year-old man was driving the vehicle.

On Friday night, a man was hit by a car while walking across the street on the 2200 block of 22nd Street. He was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. Police say a 16-year-old was driving. 

Also on Friday night, an 89-year-old woman died of her injuries after being hit by a car at Preston Avenue and East Drive.
