Second $1M jackpot won in 3 weeks at Dakota Dunes Casino

A lucky winner at the Dakota Dunes Casino took home a jackpot worth more than $1 million, making him the second person in three weeks to win the prize.

Another person at the Dakota Dunes Casino on the Whitecap Dakota First Nation has struck it rich.

It's the second player in three weeks to win the Smoke Signal Jackpot, which starts at $1 million, according to the Saskatchewan Indian Gaming Authority. 

The winner took home nearly $1.05 million after playing the progressive slot at the casino, located about 24 kilometres south of Saskatoon.

Staff presented the cheque to the winner on Saturday.

On Dec. 30, Saskatchewan man Ben Vuong, a regular player at the casino, took home a check for more than $1.1 million. 

Smoke Signals is the organization's largest jackpot. It's a minimum of $1 million and it pays out before it hits $2 million. 

It's now back to $1 million and can be won again at any time.
