A Saskatchewan man has hit the million-dollar jackpot at the Dakota Dunes Casino on the White Cap Dakota First Nation near Saskatoon.

Ben Vuong won $1,166,462 on the "smoke signals jackpot" earlier this week.

Vuong, who is a regular player at the casino, was presented with a cheque today.

"Many of our workers are super happy. They tell me the winner is a very nice gentleman who always has a smile. We're glad we have given him even more to smile about," said Gary Daniels, general manager of the Dakota Dunes Casino.

The progressive jackpot links 52 slot machines in six Saskatchewan casinos and the pot of money keeps growing as people play.

The largest jackpot is a minimum of $1 million and it pays out before it hits $2 million.

It's now back to $1 million and can be won again at any time.
