It has been a great afternoon for Saskatchewan athletes at the Parapan Am Games.

Regina-born swimmer Morgan Bird added to her trophy case with a silver medal in the women's 100-metre freestyle S8. Bird won two gold medals earlier this week.

The 21-year-old also set a Games record in the 100-metre freestyle this morning, however, American Mallory Weggemann broke that same record in the final.

On the track, Saskatoon's Ilana Dupont earned a silver medal in the women's 100-metre T53 this afternoon. Earlier in the day, the 29-year-old picked up a bronze in the 800-metre T53.

Saskatoon swimmer Samantha Ryan was also in action this afternoon. Ryan, who already has a silver medal, finished eighth in the women's 100-metre backstroke.

Ryan has one more chance to leave Toronto with another medal. The 16-year-old will compete in the women's 100-metre freestyle S10 at 7:16 a.m. CST on Friday.
