After breaking Canadian records en route to the Parapan Am Games, Saskatoon's Becky Richter now has multiple medals in Toronto.

Richter won gold in the women's club throw, setting a Games record in the process.

On Tuesday, Richter threw herself into another medal, adding a bronze in the women's discus throw final.

The 33-year-old nearly went three for three on the podium, but finished fourth in the women's 100 metre T52.

Saskatoon's Samantha Ryan is swimming her way to becoming a household name in Saskatchewan.

Ryan already has a silver medal around her neck, but she's far from being done at the Parapan Am Games.

On Wednesday, Ryan advanced to the women's 200 metre individual medley final, setting a Parapan Am record in the S10 classification. Ryan has leg and nerve impairments from the removal of a tumour.

She'll go for gold at 5:20 p.m. CST.

The 16-year-old swimming star has already competed in four events, including a silver medal winning run in the women's 100 metre butterfly S10. Ryan set a Games record in qualifying, but that record was topped by fellow Canadian Aurelie Rivard in the final.

Ryan is set to compete in two more swimming events - 100 metre backstroke and 100 metre freestyle - before the Games are done.

More Saskatchewan action

Canada beat Mexico 3-0 in men's sitting volleyball on Tuesday.

Rosthern's Dave Marchand was tied for a game-high with 10 points won.

Marchand and Canada are back in action today at 1 p.m. vs Colombia.

On the cycling track, Saskatoon's Shawna Ryan finished just off the podium in the mixed time trial (track) finals on Tuesday.
