Roughriders panel: The Morning Edition talks Brett Smith, 0-5 start
CBC's Eric Anderson and Peter Mills join Stefani Langenegger to preview Friday's game
When you're 0-5 and your backup quarterback gets hurt, is it fair to give up on the football season? Or does that mean you're a disloyal fan?
That's the question fans across the province have been debating this week and the topic of this week's Rider panel on the Morning Edition with host Stefani Langenegger.
CBC's Eric Anderson and Peter Mills joined Stefani to discuss whether it's time to throw in the towel or lift those pompoms higher.
If the Saskatchewan Roughriders hope to avoid going 0-6, they'll need first-time starter Brett Smith to lead them.
The Riders kickoff against the Eskimos in Edmonton at 7 p.m. CST. It's the first time the two teams have played in the regular season.
Edmonton beat Saskatchewan 31-24 in the first game of the pre-season.
