Riders: Then and now

If Rider Nation didn't have enough to worry about, now it's the status of quarterback Kevin Glenn that has fans fretting.

Saskatchewan is now 0-5 after a 31-21 loss to the Hamilton Tiger-Cats on Sunday.

Glenn got hurt in the second half and had to be replaced by Brett Smith.

Following the game, head coach Corey Chamblin had no update on Glenn's condition.

Star receiver Weston Dressler said it is tough every time you lose a player, but he has faith in the team's young back ups.

"Brett (Smith) has done a great job with this offence, Tino (Sunseri)'s right behind him ... we got some guys that are eager to go. They'll be ready if they need to play," he said.

The injury comes a month after No. 1 quarterback Darian Durant suffered a season-ending injury in the regular season opener against the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. It was that injury that made Glenn the team's top pivot.

Fans took to Twitter to lament the latest development.

"Glenn hurts himself on his own interception. If we didn't have bad luck we'd have no luck at all," @Dellco_44 said in a tweet.

The Riders next take on the Edmonton Eskimos on Friday. Saskatchewan hasn't announced who their quarterback will be.
