Regina police arrest man, 34, accused of stabbing 2 adults setting up a yard sale in June

Regina police say officers on Tuesday arrested a 34-year-old man accused of stabbing two adults and assaulting another while they were setting up a yard sale last month.

Accused charged with 2 counts of attempted murder, one count of assault

Regina police say a 34-year-old man accused of stabbing two adults while they were setting up a yard sale at their River Heights neighbourhood home last month has been arrested.

Officers were dispatched to a home on the 4100 block of 17th Avenue on June 20 at about 11:25 a.m. CST on June 20 after a report of a stabbing, according to a Regina Police Service news release.

RPS said officers learned two adults had been stabbed while another had been assaulted. All three of the victims were brought to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to the police service.

Police say the assailant fled the scene prior to officers arriving.

After an investigation to identify the suspect, the 34-year-old Regina man was arrested on Tuesday. He has been charged with two counts of attempted murder and one count of assault causing bodily harm. 

The accused made his first court appearance on Wednesday.
