Regina all candidates forum to focus on women's issues
Violence, poverty, childcare and housing all up for discussion and debate
Homelessness, violence, childcare and poverty are powerful factors that weigh upon the lives of women, every day, in Regina.
With the date to elect a federal leader looming, the YWCA Regina thought now might be a good time to get together and talk about these issues.
Between 6 and 8:30 p.m. CST on Wednesday, October 7, the organization will host an all candidates forum, focused on women's issues at St. Paul's Cathedral Hall.
Topics up for discussion include housing, women's economic security and missing and murdered indigenous women.
Is there an issue impacting women in our city that is important to you? Have your say!
To join the conversation, tweet your thoughts using the hashtag #yqrwomenvote. Or, better yet, show up at the debate!
According to the YWCA Regina, candidates participating in the forum are April Bourgeois from the NDP, Della Anaquod from the Liberals, Frances Simonson from the Green Party, and Wojciech Dolata from the Libertarian Party. No one from the Conservative Party was available.
