Fan Expo Regina attracts big crowds
Thousands of fans are expected at the Fan Expo pop culture convention this weekend
If you're into comics, science-fiction, horror, and gaming, Regina's Evraz Place is the place to be this weekend.
Thousands of fans are expected at the Fan Expo Regina pop culture convention.
Georges Hallak came to Regina from Montreal with an impressive collection of comic books to sell, including one prized comic book
"Amazing Spider-Man 1, second appearance of Spider-Man, $2,300," Hallak said.
Some well known TV stars will also make appearances at the convention, including stars of Hercules, Star Trek, and the Walking Dead.
Chris Roberts, who owns Tramp's Music and Gaming, is selling merchandise at the event. Roberts calls himself a sci-fi geek and he points out sports fans should have their own claim to the label.
"(They) face paint themselves and get all dressed up and go out to every game," Roberts said. "But those people don't get the geek label."
Roberts said he will wear Jedi robes from Star Wars to the Fan Expo.
