Bridget Lavoie came from Swift Current with a group of her friends to take part in the annual event called Saskatoon Blitz.

Lavoie was excited to shop for some merchandise.

"Like there aren't any comic book stores in Swift Current," she said. "So everything that would be here would never be in Swift Current.  So huge, like $500 I expect to drop."

Another fan, Joshua Young, said he was looking forward to meeting some of the top people in the business.

"Todd Haberkorn, he's one of my favourite voice actors, as well, in anime," said Young. "I really got hooked into xxxHolic, one of his biggest roles, I believe, as Watanuki."
