Family of Saskatoon soccer player Kaylyn Kyle celebrates win
Team Canada beat China in the opening match of the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup
Kaylyn Kyle's family had a good feeling about the opening match of the Women's World Cup.
Team Canada beat China 1-0 in in Edmonton over the weekend.
Courtnee Kyle, the sister of the Saskatoon soccer player, tells CBC News that family members were there to see her warm up.
"You can always tell with her — and she always says she knows herself — how she'll play by her first touch on the ball, and her first touch on the ball was amazing," Courtnee said.

But that didn't stop them from watching the match with bated breath.
"It was such an amazing day. I'm sure everyone who was watching it at home experienced it just as much as we did in the stadium," Courtnee said. "The Canadian fans were out of control. It was so loud, it was really exciting. We were so nervous."
She said she watched her sister play in the London Olympics, but the atmosphere in Edmonton was one of the most exciting games she has experienced.
Courtnee said the extended family is making a point of watching Kaylyn represent Canada in the tournament.
Canada's next match is against in Edmonton, this time against New Zealand.
The Women's World Cup is taking place in cities across Canada.
