A well-known Charlottetown doctor will be leaving the Island for a new job.
Dr. Garth Slysz, a family physician in Sherwood, will start a new job in January as a professor of clinical medicine in St. Kitts in the Caribbean.
Last month, Slysz was one of 10 doctors in Canada to receive the Reg L. Perkin Award for his "leadership and compassion to his patients and students."
