Shelton was supposed to headline the popular country music festival back in 2014, but was foiled by Hurricane Arthur.

Now Shelton says he's thrilled to be getting another chance.

"We're extremely excited for another amazing year of the Cavendish Beach Music Festival," said Jeff Squires, president of Whitecap Entertainment, producers of the annual event, in a news release.

Blake Shelton will be the big deal July 9. He's the Country Music Association's Entertainer of The Year, a Grammy nominee and five-time Country Music Awards Male Vocalist of the Year with several chart-topping hits. He's also very well-known for his work on the reality show The Voice

July 10, Kenny Chesney will perform, no doubt choosing several songs from his 27 number-one hits.

This will be the eighth annual concert at the outdoor site in Cavendish, which has built up its infrastructure over the years.

And fans are already reacting positively, with one promising to "sell her soul" to get there.

"This world-class venue and event has been growing year after year and we're thrilled to be one of the largest tourism draws on Prince Edward Island," said Squires.

CBMF has more artist announcements to come.

In previous years, the talent lineup at Cavendish included Taylor Swift, Keith Urban and Eric Church.

The Band Perry is a Grammy-award-winning, multi-platinum-selling trio. They'll play July 8.

Old Dominion's 2010 debut album led to sold-out shows worldwide. The band is now promoting its self-titled EP and single Break Up With Him and will take the stage on July 10.
