P.E.I. teen will sing duet with country star Keith Urban
Julia Dunn winner of contest to sing with Keith Urban at Cavendish Beach Music Festival
A 15-year-old Prince Edward Island girl is getting ready for the biggest performance of her life.
Julia Dunn won a contest through Moncton radio station XL Country 96.9, to sing a duet with country music star Keith Urban.
She will take to the stage this weekend at the Cavendish Beach Music Festival.
The contest required people to send in a video of their singing talents.
Dunn said she was excited enough when she made the top five but couldn't believe it when she actually won.
"Oh my gosh, that was crazy," said Dunn. "I wanted to cry. I didn't quite cry but oh it was so exciting. I'm probably going to freak out and be just like fan girl a little bit."
"And then I'm hoping this kind of opens a few doors, maybe a few opportunities for me. But I don't know. We'll have to see."
At 15 Dunn is already a very experienced vocalist. She's done vocal training with Terry Hatty, co-written her first EP with David Rashed Productions, she's been on the 2014 CTV Christmas Daddies Telethon and she's a regular performer at the Victoria Row Outdoor Concert Series.
Now she will be singing in front of thousands of country music fans.
Dunn and Keith Urban hit the stage on Saturday night.
