Crystal Neary from North Lake, in eastern P.E.I., posted a picture of the poem to her Facebook page in honour of her father Russell Bailey, a 40-year-fisherman, who died in the fall.

She also wanted to celebrate all the Island fishermen heading out on the water Friday, the first day of the lobster season.

"Little did I know that it would have gotten some feedback and some love and lots of shares," said Neary.
