RCMP on P.E.I. have spent the last few days cleaning marijuana plants out of another farm field near Summerside.

Police found and seized 1,305 immature male and female marijuana plants that were scattered amongst the crop currently growing in the Travellers Rest field.

This is the second time this summer RCMP have found more than 1,000 plants growing in a Travellers Rest field. At the end of July police seized 1,250 plants from another field.

In that case police said they believed the plants were propagated accidently from a previous outdoor grow-op.

In their news release on the current case RCMP did not comment on whether they believed this planting was accidental.
