Suspects sought after shooting near Merivale, Baseline roads Monday
Victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries in 5:30 p.m. incident, police say
Police are looking for two suspects after a man was shot and injured late Monday afternoon near Merivale and Baseline roads.
The man was shot once at about 5:30 p.m. and suffered non-life-threatening injuries, Ottawa police said.
One of the suspects is described as a black man, about 20 to 25 years old, standing five feet, six inches tall and carrying a handgun. The other suspect is described as a Middle-Eastern man, about 25 years old, with brown hair.

It was the second shooting on Monday. At about 3 p.m., a 16-year-old boy was shot in the back near Besserer and Chapel streets in the Sandy Hill neighbourhood and was taken to hospital in serious condition.
There were reports of people running away after the shooting. No arrests have been made.
