Ottawa Redblacks, Fury fans get ready for big weekend at TD Place
First-place Redblacks have already secured a home playoff game, Fury play theirs Sunday
It's been an unexpectedly successful year for the Ottawa Redblacks and Fury, and fans are getting ready to cheer the second-year teams deep into the playoffs this weekend.
The first-place RedBlacks beat the Hamilton Tiger-Cats Saturday afternoon at TD Place Stadium.
They had already guaranteed themselves a home playoff game — no small feat, considering the team finished 2-16 in their debut CFL season last year.
They'll host the East division final on Sunday, Nov. 22 and have earned themselves a few days off.
On Sunday, the Ottawa Fury play Minnesota in the North American Soccer League semifinal after winning the fall season (the NASL splits their schedule into spring and fall) and finishing second overall in just their second season at this level.
