Most outstanding: Redblacks' Burris sets sights on 'the finish line in the distance'
Redblacks quarterback talks about Saturday's big game, and what lies ahead
With the Redblacks setting their sights on Saturday's regular season finale against Hamilton, quarterback Henry Burris took some time out to talk to CBC Ottawa about everything from the big game, to what he's expecting from life after football.
If we continue to have the success that we've been having, a lot of guys will carry home some hardware, but hopefully, hopefully not the only hardware that we're looking for as a team.- Ottawa Redblacks quarterback Henry Burris
Burris is having a stellar year. The 40-year-old leads the Canadian Football League in passing yards, completions, and attempts, to name just a few categories.
He's led the Redblacks from a disappointing debut last season to a chance to finish first in the East Division on Saturday.
So it's no wonder he's also his team's nominee for the CFL's most outstanding player award. But Burris has his eyes on a greater prize: the Grey Cup.
"If we continue to have the success that we've been having, a lot of guys will carry home some hardware, but hopefully, hopefully not the only hardware that we're looking for as a team."
