Fiery crash on Highway 401 near Mallorytown
Injuries considered non-life-threatening, OPP say
A pickup truck crashed and caught fire on Highway 401 between Brockville and Mallorytown Wednesday morning, according to Ontario Provincial Police.
The OPP said on social media the single-vehicle crash happened before the westbound off-ramp from the highway to the Thousand Islands Parkway.
The Ministry of Transportation posted around 11 a.m. that all westbound lanes of the highway were closed from the County Road 2 interchange to the Mallorytown interchange.
Police said around 1:15 p.m. that the highway reopened once they learned injuries in the crash were not considered life-threatening.

The crash happened about 10 kilometres east of Mallorytown and 65 kilometres east of Kingston.
