3 rail cars carrying steel derailed, no injuries
Work is underway to remove three rail cars that derailed Thursday evening in the downtown area of New Glasgow.
Nobody was injured when the cars went off the tracks on a spur line that heads towards the town of Trenton.
The cars belong to Cape Breton Central Nova Scotia Railways and were carrying sheets of steel.
Const. Ken MacDonald with the New Glasgow police says crews are removing the metal and will then shift the cars.
