Cyclist, 39, dead after collision with minivan in Cumberland County

A 39-year-old Wolfville man is dead following a collision with a minivan on Saturday in Amherst Shore, N.S., according to an RCMP news release.

A 39-year-old Wolfville man is dead following a collision with a minivan on Saturday in Amherst Shore, N.S., according to an RCMP news release.

The release says emergency services responded to a report of a collision near the 6500 block of Highway 366 at 10:30 a.m. 

According to police, the minivan was travelling east on the highway when it collided with a bicycle travelling in the same direction.

The cyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver, a 32-year-old Amherst woman, was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, Three children, who were passengers in the minivan, were not injured.
