Halifax police ID victim of Gottingen Street homicide

Halifax Regional Police are investigating a homicide that occurred on Gottingen Street early Friday. Police say 25-year-old Treyvhon Alrick Bradshaw was shot and that he later died in hospital. Police are looking to speak with anyone with information on the shooting.

Halifax Regional Police have identified the man who was the victim of a homicide on Gottingen Street early Friday morning.

Police were called to a weapons complaint around 2:35 a.m. When they arrived, they found a man in his 20s who had been shot. Police said the man was taken to hospital where he later died.

In a news release issued Friday evening, police identified the victim as 25-year-old Treyvhon Alrick Bradshaw. 

"Our thoughts remain with Treyvhon's family and friends on the loss of their loved one," read the release.

Police shut down part of Gottingen Street near Cornwallis Street Friday as a result of the investigation.
