The price of diesel in Nova Scotia rose 10 cents per litre Saturday to a minimum of $1.84 per litre in the Halifax area.

The Nova Scotia Utility and Review Board, which sets the fuel prices in the province, made the change "due to significant shifts in the market price of diesel oil."

In Cape Breton, the minimum cost of diesel is $1.86 per litre.

There is no change to the price of gasoline in the province.

Gas and diesel prices have been subject to frequent price changes in recent weeks in part due to the war in Ukraine.
