RCMP in Nova Scotia are inviting the public to share their condolences for Const. David Wynn, one of two RCMP officers shot in St. Albert, Alta., last weekend.
Wynn died in hospital Wednesday.
He was a paramedic in Bridgewater for 13 years before becoming a Mountie.
Condolence books have been placed at detachments throughout Halifax including the RCMP detachment on Gottingen Street, at the Bridgewater RCMP detachment, the Bridgewater Police Service headquarters and at the Bridgewater EHS centre.
RCMP say people can also drop off condolence cards to their local RCMP detachment which will be forwarded to Wynn's family.
The public can also send their sympathies by email to condolences_condoleances@rcmp-grc.gc.ca.
Wynn never regained consciousness after he was shot while responding to a call at a casino in the city northwest of Edmonton.
The RCMP plans to hold a regimental funeral for Wynn. Details will be announced at a later date.
