More charges laid in Iqaluit KFC/Pizza Hut Quickstop robberies

Iqaluit RCMP have laid charges against two youths in the April 6 robbery at the KFC/Pizza Hut Quickstop, in addition to charges laid earlier this week in an April 12 robbery at the same location.

Iqaluit RCMP have laid more charges in connection with two armed robberies at the KFC and Pizza Hut Quickstop this month.

Two youths, ages 15 and 17, were arrested following an armed robbery at the store on Sunday. They face seven charges including possession of a weapon for the purpose of committing an offence, pointing a firearm, wearing a disguise with intent to commit an offence and resisting arrest.

The same 15-year-old youth is now also facing six similar charges, along with another youth, in relation to a robbery at the same business a week earlier on April 6.

Police said an adult male has also been arrested in the case and is facing 19 charges in relation to both armed robberies.
