Daniel Joel Mason turns himself in to RCMP to face shooting-related charges
Sean Kenneth Broadly, facing same charges, still at large
One of the men charged in connection with a downtown Whitehorse shooting earlier this month has turned himself in to police.
Daniel Joel Mason, of Yukon, has been the subject of a Canada-wide warrant for almost a week. He turned himself in to Whitehorse RCMP on Thursday.
Sean Kenneth Broadly, facing the same charges, is still at large.
The two men are accused of attempted murder, kidnapping, and several other weapons-related charges in connection with a shooting incident on Nov. 14.
Police said gunshots were fired near the corner of Main Street and 6th Avenue. Two men were later found injured, apparently by gunfire.
RCMP have said the investigation is considered "high priority," but are releasing few details while it continues.
They're cautioning the public that Broadly may possibly be armed and should not be approached.
