2 years later, family of murder victim Allan Waugh still looks for answers
Waugh's death in his Whitehorse home, in May 2014, remains unsolved
The relatives of Allan Waugh, who was murdered in Whitehorse more than two years ago, are hoping Yukon's new Crime Stoppers tip line will help lead to answers in the unsolved case.
On the morning of May 30, 2014, the 69-year-old Waugh was found dead in his home in Whitehorse's McIntyre subdivision. Police ruled it a homicide, and appealed to the community for any information.
Waugh's relatives say they're still waiting.
"Our family is looking for answers. We don't know the circumstances of his death, and it weighs heavily on our minds," said Waugh's daughter, Rosemary Waugh-Wilson.
"Now that it's the holidays, we're feeling the loss all the more."
Her family has canvassed door-to-door, asking for information, and has put out an appeal through social media. They're also hoping the Crime Stoppers tip line will "encourage someone to come forward and give us answers," Waugh-Wilson said.

She says she's grateful to the RCMP, the Kwanlin Dün First Nation, elders and friends for their ongoing support. She says it's been a hard couple of years for her family.
The RCMP major crimes unit is also renewing the call for any information that may help in the Waugh case.
"There is someone out there who knows what happened to Allan," said RCMP Cpl. Mark Caswell in a release. "We strongly urge anyone with information on his murder to come forward and do the right thing."
