The family of Allan Waugh are appealing for help in the investigation of Waugh's murder in Whitehorse at the end of May.

His death has been difficult for his family and the community. His daughter Rosemary Waugh recently posted a plea for information to a social media site: "Someone somewhere knows what happened. How do we break this circle of silence?"

She goes on to ask why are people unwilling to provide tips to the police that could solve a murder.

The RCMP are thanking those who have come forward, especially members of the Kwanlin Dun First Nation. Along with the family, they are now appealing for others to share what they know.

"We just ask those people to search their hearts and conscience and to dig down and make that tough decision and come forward with that information," said Sgt. Mark London, head of M Division's Major Crimes unit.

He says many details of the case can't be shared because the investigation is ongoing.

Police are asking anyone who has information or who may have witnessed any activity in the area of McCrimmon Crescent between May 29 and 30 to contact the Whitehorse RCMP at 667-5555 or the Kwanlin Dun First Nation's Director of Justice Jeanie Dendys at 334-1803.
