The animals at Howell's Farm keep crossing the highwayand roaming into Shawn Shears' KOA campground near Norris Point.

Shears has had an issue with the animals for 15 years, but he said lately it's been getting worse — with 20 goat encounters since May.

He said his campers have been bitten and cornered by the visiting animals in the past.

"With children, seeing animals is like a magnet to them," he said.

"They are not aware of the dangers. It's a big concern to me."

Shears wants the government to take action and permanently remove the pestering goats.

The province's forestry and agrifoods division is aware of the livestock complaints, and officials say they are working with the Town of Norris Point and the RCMP to resolve the issue.

Shears insists that has to happen if he is to guarantee the safety of his customers.

"The most important thing to the guests when they come here is they expect a safe environment, a safe camping experience and good experience," he said.

"Roaming animals? They are unpredictable."
