Our weekly taste of vintage video features a 1988 campaign to lure visitors, with fiddling legend Rufus Guinchard taking centre stage.
Soiree '88 was the name of the government's campaign that year, and to help drum up interest that April, Guinchard — who was 88 at the time — brought along his fiddle, and sense of humour. [Guinchard died in September 1990.]
