Police are investigating the theft of several missing steel gates from a walking trail in Conception Bay South.

The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary said a complaint came in Tuesday around 10:30 a.m. that gates were missing from multiple spots from the T'railway.

Municipal enforcement contacted police about two gates that were taken from the Harvey's Path area, one from Delaney's Road and another one from Fagan's Road.

The steel gates are meant to prevent vehicles from entering the trail system.

The RNC said there had been no timeframe established around when the gates were stolen.

The Town of C.B.S. is offering a $500 reward for information leading to the conviction of anyone responsible for the theft.

Police are urging anyone with information to contact them or Crime Stoppers.
