Joe Grizzly and the Wildlife may sound like a bunch of burly outdoorsmen, but in reality, they are just a group of friends from the northeast Avalon who like to play music together.

"We're just a bunch of 20-somethings, bearded men, a bit grizzly looking, a couple of regular joes, that's kind of the idea behind it,"  says band member Mike Simms.

Their new album, Uproarious, reflects the band's philosophy towards making music.

"We like to rock out," confirmed Simms.

Yet, Simms said the band has its quieter side, too.

The whole thing isn't meant to be crazy rock and roll. There's some chill songs in there too,"  said Simms.
