"I don't think there's a Walsh in Bay de Verde that can't play music," says Ray Walsh, accordion player and patriarch of the Walsh Family Band.

Walsh, who has performed for decades, has been well known as the band leader on CBC Television's All Around the Circle, and other local CBC productions.

He has also received a lifetime achievement award from the Newfoundland and Labrador Folk Arts Society for his work.

These days, Walsh has been directing most of his energy into the Walsh Family band. The group consists of Walsh, his brothers Gerard Walsh and Ron Walsh, his daughter Michelle Walsh-Carew, and his son, Greg Walsh.

The band's new album, Years May Come, Years May Go, features songs that the individual band members have always loved, according to Michelle Walsh-Carew.
