First IceCaps home game set for Oct. 16
The St. John's IceCaps have confirmed dates for six home games, including the season opener.
Hometown fans will get to see the team in action for the first time on Friday, Oct 16.

—@IceCapsAHLIt will be the start of a brand new season for the rebranded IceCaps, who will be wearing different colours to reflect their new affiliation with the Montreal Canadiens NHL team.
The AHL schedule-makers have yet to reveal who will face St. John's in the opening games, and the full schedule is expected over the next couple weeks.
The six confirmed home games at Mile One Centre are as follows:

- Saturday, October 17
- Friday, November 20
- Saturday, November 21
- Friday, January 15
- Saturday, January 16
